This seminar brings together the ways in which postcolonial politics, Indigenous sovereignty and global modernities have transformed how we imagine and organise our diverse classrooms and teaching across cultures and contexts. This discussion will include questions about whiteness and ›European‹, ideas of appropriate assessment in a de‐colonising curriculum and experiences of transcultural understandings of Indigenous sovereignty.

Specific issues that will be addressed include: ›Welcome to Country‹, Australian/Canadian differences and challenges to white discomfort.
