We are delighted to inform you of this year’s awardees of academic theses.
The GASt dissertation prize goes to Dr. Victoria Herche for her PhD thesis “The Adolescent Country: Re-Imagining Youth and Coming of Age in Contemporary Australian Film” (Englisches Seminar, Universität zu Köln 2018).
Louise Thatcher receives the prize for her master thesis “Policing the Border in Early White Australia” (Global History, FU Berlin 2020).
The official award ceremony will take place as part of the GASt biennial conference in Trier, postponed to 30 September – 2 October 2021.
