Members of the association are chiefly engaged in teaching, research, study or public activities relevant to Australia, or are those whose interest supports such work.
The annual membership fees may be offset against tax and are as follows:
| Individual membership (category 1) | Individuals with a monthly net income of less than 1,500 € | 25 € |
| Individual membership (category 2) | Individuals with a monthly net income between 1,500 € and 3,000 € | 50 € |
| Individual membership (category 3) | Individuals with a monthly net income of more than 3,000 € | 75 € |
| Supporting membership | Voluntary, for individuals | 100 € |
| Institutional membership | Centres, societies, embassies, other institutions | 120 € |
