The open-access Zeitschrift für Australienstudien | Australian Studies Journal (ZfA|ASJ, ISSN 1864-3957) invites proposals for special issues focusing on specific themes or topics related to Australia. Special issues provide an opportunity to explore emerging areas of research, address contemporary challenges, or highlight interdisciplinary perspectives
on significant issues.

Proposal Submission

Interested scholars and researchers are invited to submit proposals for special issues. The proposal should include:

  1. A brief overview of the proposed theme or topic, highlighting its significance and relevance.
  2. A tentative list of potential contributors and their areas of expertise.
  3. A proposed timeline for the special issue, including submission deadlines, peer review process, and publication date, in line with the journal’s publication schedule in April and October each year.
  4. A brief biography of the proposed guest editor(s), highlighting their qualifications and experience.

Submission Process

  • Proposals for special issues should be submitted electronically to journal[at]australienstudien.org.
  • Successful proposals will undergo a review process by the editorial board, and the guest editor(s) will be notified of the decision.
