Announcement 2025
The Gesellschaft für Australienstudien e. V. (GASt) | Association for Australian Studies e. V. offers a publication award in the amount of
EUR 100,–
for an outstanding academic article in the Australian Studies Journal | Zeitschrift für Australienstudien (ZfA). With the exception of e.g. interviews, editorials and reviews, all articles published in the ZfA in the last two years (2023 and 2024) will be considered in the selection. An active application is not necessary.
The selection takes place in a two-stage process with no legal recourse. Firstly, the ZfA Editorial Board will make a pre-selection, resulting in a list of a maximum of five prize-worthy articles. A jury appointed by the Gesellschaft für Australienstudien e.V. will then decide on the award winners.
The award ceremony will take place in 2025 during the biennial conference of the Society for Australian Studies.
